speaking to Lynne Firsel's Child &
Adolescent Literature class
at Warren Wilson College in
Asheville NC. Seems everyone
there is an animal lover. This is one cool college and campus.

Thursday, March 16: Freckles
and Paul made their regularly
scheduled visit to see some great first graders at Hall Fletcher
Elementary in
Asheville NC. They each read to Freckles and,
in the process, got a chance to practice their
reading skills.

Saturday, March 18:
Freckles, Trish, and Paul visited with 15(!)
youngsters who are patients at Mission Hospital in Asheville NC.
Freckles
even saw two kids she'd met before when she and Paul
had visited their schools.
leicester elementary
Monday, March 27: Freckles
and Paul spoke to Mrs. Geneau's
second grade class. The topic was titled "A Day in the Life of
an Author." The kids learned that at least this author's day
begins with cleaning the bird cage! It was a fun time with the
students, Mrs. Geneau, and with Caryn Levy, the wonderful media
specialist there at Leicester Elementary.

Tuesday, 28:
Freckles and Paul met some young patients at the
Pediatric Out Patient facility at Mission Hospital in Asheville NC.
