Saturday, July 3: Freckles
and Paul spoke at
at "Story Time" at the Barnes & Noble
Bookstore in
Tucson AZ. What a great group of kids! They had a
craft time just prior to our arrival and they'd all made
pictures of Freckles. We sold every copy of Freckles
that they had in the store!

Tuesday, July 6: Freckles and
Paul were the featured
speakers at "Story Time" at the Barnes &
Noble
Bookstore at the Chandler Fashion Mall in Chandler AZ.
How wonderful to see so many little children and their
parents coming to a bookstore to explore the exciting
world of reading!
freckles REvisits the jail
Friday, July 16: Freckles and
Paul made a return visit
to the Maricopa County Jail in downtown Phoenix. They
met with the inmates who are part of the animal care
program at the jail, the same program in which inmates
cared for Freckles and her puppies when they were
rescued from the desert. This is a wonderful program
run by wonderful, caring people. The animals benefit,
the inmates benefit, the community benefits. Here are
some of Freckles' newest friends (Freckles was overcome
by all the love she felt in the room!). This was a bit like a
"farewell tour" as Freckles and her family are moving to
North Carolina, but we promised to return and visit the
jail soon.
