Elementary School
Friday, October 3:
Paul and Freckles went back to school!
We spoke to more than 500 K-5th grade students and
each of them got to pet and hug Freckles. We talked
about Freckles' story, about the artist who did the
drawings, and all about writing and publishing a book.
ANIMAL KINSHIP MINISTRY
Friday, October 3: That same evening, Paul spoke on the
subject of "Our Oneness with Animals" to the combined
congregations of two churches. It was wonderful to share
so many wonderful stories about our lives with animals.
BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
Saturday, October 4:
Freckles and Paul were invited to
display their new book at a Blessing of the Animals, an
event held at It's a Ruff Life, a doggie daycare center.
Freckles got to meet for the first time rabbits and guinea
pigs and many other animals!
STAR OF THE STRIP MALL
Sunday, October 5:
Freckles, Trish, and Paul had the honor
of exhibiting Freckles' new book at the grand opening of a
strip mall in Ahwatukee, Arizona. Here, Trish and Freckles
are shown with Carolyn, owner/operator
of Pretty Paws Pet
Salon, our most gracious hostess for the event.
IT'S JUST A "MUTT WALK" IN THE PARK
Saturday, October 18:
The 27th Annual Mutt Walk, a fund
raiser for the Arizona Animal Welfare League, was held
in Papago Park in Phoenix. Freckles got to meet a lot of
great people and their pups and pawtograph a bunch
of books. With us in this picture is our good friend Nancy
Peterson, human-animal bond expert with the Humane
Society of the United States, Washington, DC.

Saturday, October 18:
Freckles stopped by
the annual volunteer
recognition luncheon to
say thank you to all the wonderful people
and
their therapy animals.
FRANCISCAN FESTIVAL
Saturday, October 25:
Freckles and Paul
had a chance to greet Bari Mears (founder
of the PETS911 Auxiliary) at the Franciscan
Blessing of the Animals and Adoption Fair
in Scottsdale, Arizona, and thank her for
all the animals' lives she's saved over the years!
